Dr. Didem Ardıçlı

Dr. Didem Ardıçlı is a pediatric neuromuscular disorders specialist at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. She studied medicine at Ankara University and completed her pediatrics and pediatric neurology residency at Hacettepe University in Ankara. During her residency, she also completed a non-thesis Master’s programme on Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders. She was awarded a national scholarship for her postdoctoral research project titled “Genetic Diagnosis in Patients with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy and Congenital Myopathy: Evaluation of Genotype-Phenotype Correlation”. In 2017-2018, she worked as a “visiting research fellow” and completed her postdoctoral research project at the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre, Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London. She participated in international clinical trials on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Currently, Dr. Ardıçlı serves as a board member of the Turkish Neuromuscular Disorders Research Association and as a trainer in the regularly held “Pediatric Neuromuscular Disease Course” for young pediatric neurologists.
