Dr. Munell Casadesús is a pediatric neurologist at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, where she coordinates the Pediatric Neuromuscular Unit. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of early-onset neuromuscular disorders, including congenital muscular dystrophies, myopathies, and spinal muscular atrophy. Dr. Munell Casadesús has been actively involved in clinical trials and research focused on developing gene therapies for these conditions. She is also contributing to the development of clinical guidelines for the use of gene therapy in neuromuscular diseases in Spain.
