Dr. Gawlik is an Associate Researcher at the Muscle Biology Unit, Department of Experimental Medical Science, Lund University, Sweden. She has contributed significantly to understanding disease mechanisms—such as inflammation and disease progression—through preclinical studies using mouse models. Her work has also explored the role of laminin-α1 overexpression in rescuing disease phenotypes in LAMA2-deficient mice, providing insights into potential therapeutic strategies for LAMA2-MD. Dr.Gawlik’s research aims to advance the development of effective treatments for LAMA2-MD and other related neuromuscular disorders.
